Thousands of supporters of the longtime leader of Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group have flown into Beirut for Hassan Nasrallah’s funeral this weekend.

Lebanon's Hezbollah will bury its former leader Hassan Nasrallah on Sunday nearly five months after he was killed in an Israeli airstrike, in a mass funeral aimed at showing political strength after the group emerged badly weakened from last year's war.

Lebanon is preparing for the burial of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, nearly five months after he was killed in an Israeli air strike. The country is expected to come to a halt for a few hours on Sunday for the funeral which is scheduled for 1pm (11:00 GMT) at the Camille Chamoun sports stadium on the outskirts of capital Beirut.

Nasrallah Funeral Preparations Begin. Hezbollah is preparing for a massive funeral for its slain leader, Hassan Nasrallah, nearly five months after his death in an Israeli strike. Streets in Beirut are lined with banners as thousands are expected to gather at the Camille Chamoun Sports Stadium on Sunday.
