Before Sunday afternoon’s game against the San Francisco Giants began, the Milwaukee Brewers had an on-field ceremony, celebrating the life of their legendary announcer, Bob Uecker. Uecker passed away in January and even before the 2025 campaign began,

The Brewers honored Uecker with a celebration of life tribute prior to the Brewers-Giants game Aug. 24. The ceremony was hosted by fellow Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Costas, who worked with Uecker on national NBC telecasts.

Bob Uecker's Hall of Fame broadcasting career began only after the Milwaukee Brewers initially hired him as a scout. Former Brewers owner and MLB Commissioner Bud Selig said it didn't take long to realize Uecker might be better suited for a different role.
