The College Football Playoff run begins on Friday when SEC powers Alabama and Oklahoma get together for the second time this season.

College football award season is well underway, and Friday features a host of honors being handed out.

The finalists for the Davey O'Brien Award -- awarded to the nation's top quarterback -- are Texas A&M's Marcel Reed, Ohio State's Julian Sayin and Indiana's Fernando Mendoza.
