Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Tuesday joined a rally in Los Angeles to push for California’s controversial wealth tax, which has been opposed by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

The National Park Service (NPS) on Thursday began restoring the panels that were removed from the slavery exhibit at the President's House in Philadelphia.

"California already has the highest income tax of any state in the country, the highest gas tax, the highest overall tax burden," Kiley said in a House floor speech this month.
