Helio Castroneves Wins Indianapolis 500 for a Fourth Time Castroneves, 46, who last won the Indy 500 in 2009, joined A.J. Foyt, Al Unser Sr. and Rick Mears as the event’s only four-time winners.

Castroneves, who turned 48 earlier this month, has won two Rolex 24’s at Daytona and the Indy 500 with Shank and doesn’t want to transition out of a full-time ride at the end of the season.
