Patriots starting defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, who has two years left on his deal, has been given permission to seek a trade, sources confirmed to ESPN.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Patriots have granted the veteran defensive tackle permission to seek a trade this offseason. “There has been contact with interested teams, and the veteran is likely on the move given the team’s defensive scheme shift,” Rapoport noted on X.

The Patriots are allowing Davon Godchaux to seek a trade as they make a major transition under new head coach Mike Vrabel.
