Jets' Aaron Glenn QB update, plus new player signed at position
Both Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) are injured. Brady Cook was dinged up last week but is evidently healthy ahead of the Jets (3-10) visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4) in Week 15. It's still unclear who will be part of the Jets' lineup on Sunday in terms of those injured players, but we have an insurance policy.
Glenn clearly hired the right special teams coordinator in Chris Banjo. Offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand has shown signs of creativity. Wilks is the biggest question mark on Glenn’s staff.
Head coach Aaron Glenn sits down with team reporter Eric Allen for a discussion about the Week 15 matchup between the Jets and Jaguars. Watch Jets Gameday Sundays at 7:30 a.m. on CBS 2 New York.
Johnson is tied for third on the Jets in sacks with Jowon Briggs. Will McDonald IV (7.0) and Quincy Williams (3.5) have been more productive. Johnson does rank second in pressures (32), trailing McDonald by just one pressure (33) for the team lead. Johnson is signed through 2026 after the Jets exercised his fifth-year option.
The Jets injuries other than QB Tyrod Taylor, who left the game after six plays with a groin injury, were DL Tyler Baron (knee), LB Kiko Mauigoa (shoulder), TE Stone Smartt (possible concussion) and TE Mason Taylor (stinger).

Why Jets' Aaron Glenn took blame for loss to the Dolphins
The Jets (3-10) lost 34-10 to the Dolphins (6-7) on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Aside from New York's special teams unit, which scored a touchdown again, the Jets were outplayed across the board. The loss ended up being the final nail for the team's postseason status as well.
Through 13 games this season, the Jets’ defense has forced just two turnovers: A fumble recovery in Week Six against the Broncos, and a fumble recovery in Week 13 against the Falcons. The Jets’ defense still doesn’t have a single interception. Every other NFL team has at least five.
But the players take their cues from the coaches. Aaron Glenn came to the Jets' head coaching position espousing the importance of special teams and has continued through the season to tout his players and his staff, led by first-year coordinator Chris Banjo, who have made those special things happen.
