Alien: Earth viewership surged with a strong debut, highlighting the series’ impact within the franchise. The premiere episode attracted millions of viewers across multiple platforms in under a week.

The series by creator Noah Hawley is described as a spin-off to the original Ridley Scott-directed film, " Alien ," from 1979. The film follows a space crew aboard the starship, Nostromo, who are on their journey back home when they receive a distress call from an alien vessel.

Alien: Earth seems to have hit the ground running with the premiere episode raking in 9.2M views globally across FX, Hulu and Disney+ in its first six days, Disney revealed Tuesday.
