Israeli police say one killed in Haifa bus station knife attack
An Israeli man has been killed and four other people have been wounded in what police say was a terrorist stabbing attack in the northern Israeli city of Haifa. Police said an Israeli Druze man attacked civilians with a knife after getting off a bus at HaMifratz Central station. He was shot dead at the scene by a security guard.
Man stabbed to death in terror attack at Haifa bus terminal
The attacker, identified by police as an Israeli citizen from the Druze community, was shot and killed by a bus station security guard and an armed passerby. Hebrew outlets named him as Jethro Shahin, a man in his 20s. Unconfirmed reports claimed he held German citizenship.
"We strongly condemn the incident that occurred this morning," the head of the Druze community, Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, said.
