On Friday, coroner officials released a statement saying Jeff Sperbeck, John Elway's agent, cause of death was ruled accidental and resulted from blunt head trauma.

Jeff Sperbeck, longtime agent and close friend of NFL legend John Elway, tragically passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 62.

This, from all appearances and from all evidence, seems to just be a horrific accident,” Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco previously told The Denver Post.
