Joe Biden is spending his final full day in office Sunday in South Carolina, a state that holds special meaning after his commanding win in the 2020 Democratic primary there set him up to achieve his life's goal of being elected president of the United States.

Now, much of the snow in the nation’s capital has congealed into a dispiriting gray muck — a fitting symbol of the vibe veteran photographer Stephen Voss captured in the city during the final lap of Joe Biden’s presidency.

President Biden will spend his final full day in office in Charleston, S.C., where five years ago he revived his flailing campaign.
