Giannis Antetokounmpo talked about relationships after the Milwaukee Bucks traded his longtime teammate Khris Middleton to Washington.

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will now be learning what it's like to play in the NBA without Khris Middleton as a teammate.

An era ended in Milwaukee at the trade deadline when the Bucks traded Khris Middleton to the Washington Wizards in a deal that netted Kyle Kuzma. Middleton spent 12 seasons, nearly his whole career, with the Bucks which included three All-Star appearances and an NBA championship in 2021.

Khris Middleton, a man whose No. 22 jersey may hang in the rafters of Fiserv Forum someday, wrote a farewell message to Milwaukee Friday.

One of the greatest players to ever wear a Milwaukee Bucks jersey took time to thank the city on Feb. 14. Khris Middleton spent 12 seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks after being included in a trade from the Detroit Pistons for Brandon Jennings in 2013.

Middleton, who had been with the Bucks since the 2013-14 season, was sent to Washington at last week’s trade deadline along with 2024 first-round pick AJ Johnson in a deal that brought Kyle Kuzma to Milwaukee. Both teams also received draft compensation in the trade.

Following his trade to the Washington Wizards from the Milwaukee Bucks last week, Khris Middleton penned a heartfelt goodbye to the Bucks fans. The former Bucks forward posted the letter on his social media accounts.
