The Detroit Lions have been noncommittal about signing Jameson Williams to an extension, but GM Brad Holmes said they won't trade their No. 2 WR.

Despite recent rumors that Jameson Williams could be on the trade block, the Detroit Lions never had any intention of moving the 24-year-old wide receiver. Speaking to reporters after the first round of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday, Lions general manager Brad Holmes explained they "never entertained" any offers for Williams.

In the first round of the draft, the Lions welcomed Tyleik Williams who fills my #1 positional need on the team. With almost every current defensive tackle carrying medical or age concerns, the 22-year-old Williams is a welcome injection of youth. He was also very reliable in his college career playing in 13 games each of the past three seasons.
