CLEVELAND, Ohio – A suspect was arrested and accused of shooting a 26-year-old woman Wednesday in Akron. Deshawn Jalen Jeffery, 30, has been charged with felonious assault and assault, police said. He is being held at the Summit County Jail.

A lawyer for the officer said she was "manifesting symptoms of postpartum depression" at the time of the incident.
