Cohasset police say Christopher Lucas was illegally hunting coyotes when he shot and killed his wife's 14-year-old dog, Lise.

Police say the man was trying to hunt coyotes from a second-floor window when he shot the dog in the driveway of his home.

The calves, named Mabel and Mille, were born last month at the Saint Louis Zoo.

A 59-year-old Cohasset man was arrested for animal cruelty charges after he allegedly shot his wife’s dog while hunting for coyotes from his second story window in August of 2025.
