NEW YORK — Yankees captain Aaron Judge took the next step in his throwing program on Sunday afternoon, making throws from right field to second base for the first time this month. Judge had been building up to around 150 feet in his long-toss program as he continues to build back up from a right flexor strain.

Aaron Boone called it a good step, but Judge remains without a potential timeline for a return to the outfield as the team continues taking the cautious approach.

"Giancarlo Stanton called the way the Yankees have performed against the Red Sox this season 'unacceptable' following Saturday afternoon's rout at Yankee Stadium," Max Goodman wrote for NJ.com. "Watching the way this team has been playing lately, predictable would also apply."
