Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed into law a bill that will remake California’s landmark environmental protection rules

Gov. Gavin Newsom tied the state budget to the passage of policy to lessen environmental review standards to speed up the construction of housing in California.

After a decade of intense debating California overhauls CEQA, its landmark environmental law with hopes of making the state more affordable to live.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - California Gov. Gavin Newsom is coming to multiple counties in the Palmetto State next week. The South Carolina Democratic Party said Thursday it will host a multi-county tour with Newsom on July 8-9 featuring stops in Marion, Chesterfield, Marlboro, Laurens, Pickens, Oconee, Kershaw and Florence counties.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) touted the $750 million tax credit for film and television made in his state, calling it a “big part” of the “renewal” for Los Angeles. Newsom’s signature doubles the current tax credit of $330 million.
