California's Democratic leaders are now moving forward with an effort to change Congressional district maps so that they heavily favor Democrats, regardless of what Texas or other Republican states do.

The Texas GOP is one step closer to their new congressional map after passing it in the State House and moving it to the State Senate. California Democrats are now trying to combat Texas by redistricting their own state.
