ROME, AUG 21 - Jamaica winger Leon Bailey picked up a thigh injury in his first training session with AS Roma since joining them from Aston Villa earlier this week and could be out for 2-3 months, the Giallorossi said Thursday.

Leon Bailey’s agent has sent a classy message to Aston Villa in the wake of the winger’s departure for Roma. Bailey has left Villa Park to join the Serie A club on loan for the season. The 28-year-old could sign for Roma permanently next summer as they hold an option to buy the Jamaica international for around £19 million.

The winger had joined Villa ahead of the 2021-22 season after four and a half years with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga
