Whenever the Jets do decide to officially end the Rodgers tenure, Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley, who's been a captain for the last four seasons, hopes that the quarterback doesn't leave New York "with his head down" based on his unfortunate time spent there. He wants Rodgers to focus on some of the things he and the team accomplished there, too.

With the team bringing in new individuals to fill those roles, the future of quarterback Aaron Rodgers was in doubt. His contract ran through the 2025 season but it wasn't certain they would be interested in keeping a 41-year-old as the team looked to build toward the future. On Thursday, the team announced they were moving on from Rodgers.
