In the Steelers’ preseason Week 2 matchup, rookie DL Derrick Harmon ran through Buccaneers LG Ben Scott for his first sack in Pittsburgh.

The Bucs' offense hit a lull after the first quarter, while the Steelers put up 17. Connor Bazelak took over at quarterback in the third quarter and finished completing 14 of 18 attempts for 106 yards. In the final three seconds of the game, Chase McLaughlin drilled a 43-yard field goal to give the Bucs a 17-14 victory on the road.

Early mistakes proved costly as the Steelers lost to the Buccaneers 17-14 Saturday night. Pittsburgh threw two first half interceptions, the first of which came in the first half when Mason Rudolph missed to a downfield pass to Roman Wilson.

Steelers first-round rookie Derrick Harmon had a quiet preseason debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 9, ending the day with a blank stat sheet. He quickly corrected that in his second-career preseason game a week later against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, logging one sack, one tackle for loss, and three total tackles.
