Russia reports Ukrainian drone attacks hit nuclear facilities and sparked fires in Kursk and Leningrad regions as Ukraine marks 34th Independence Day.

As it continues fighting Russia, Ukraine has fast become a global centre for defence innovation. At the centre of it is the startup Fire Point, which runs covert factories, developing long-range missiles and drones.

Russia launched 72 drones and one ballistic missile into Ukraine overnight into Sunday, the air force in Kyiv said.
