America's aviation regulator has suspended flights by US carriers to Haiti for at least 30 days after three gun attacks in a day on planes departing from the Caribbean nation. Aircraft from JetBlue, Spirit and American Airlines were all hit by bullets on Monday after flying to the capital, Port-au-Prince.

The Federal Aviation Administration banned U.S. planes from flying less than 10,000 feet above Haiti. The move comes after a Spirit Airlines flight to Haiti was hit by gunfire and a JetBlue aircraft was also struck by a round.

Aircraft for Spirit Airlines, JetBlue, and American Airlines were all apparently hit by bullets while flying over Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince this week, the carriers have said.

Venice-based Agape Flights has put relief flights to Haiti on pause after the FAA issued a 30-day ban on flights in and out of the country.
