Testimony in the retrial of Karen Read continues Wednesday with Jennifer McCabe, a witness for the prosecution.

Jennifer McCabe is set to take the witness stand in Karen Read's second murder trial. Read pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the death of Boston police officer John O’Keefe and is facing a retrial after a jury was unable to reach a verdict last year.

Attorney Alan Jackson on Wednesday continued to lay the foundation for the defense’s theory of a conspiracy that pitted “close-knit” Canton locals against an outsider — defendant Karen Read — in a cover-up for the murder of John O’Keefe.
