The Storm outscored the Liberty 22-6 in the third quarter. The Liberty shot 2-for-18 (11.1%) and 0-for-6 from three in the quarter after making 48.5% of its shots and 8 of 13 threes in the first half.

The New York Liberty endured a stifling second half from the Seattle Storm despite a thrilling first half from Sabrina Ionescu.

Sunday’s 79-70 loss to the Storm at Barclays Center was the latest example of that. The Liberty were outscored 44-28 in the paint. Without Jones, they have put even more of an emphasis on moving the ball. But the Liberty recorded as many turnovers (17) as they did assists against the Storm.
