The Passaic Valley Water Commission said there was no estimated timeframe for repairs after a 42-inch water main broke in Paterson.

Officials said Sunday they were working to isolate a main break in Paterson this weekend that cut off water to some city residents, even as a boil-water advisory issued two weeks ago remained partly in effect following an Aug. 8 break that left tens of thousands without water.

An Alameda street has been shut down due to a water main break Sunday evening, the Alameda Fire Department announced on X. Webster Street is closed from Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Avenue until further notice.
