Today is National Vinyl Record Day 🎶 We’re spinning The Ballad of the Green Berets by Staff Sergeant Barry Sadler. SSG Sadler served as a medic with the U.S. Army Special Forces in Vietnam from late December 1964 to late May 1965, when he was medically evacuated after sustaining an injury from a punji stake, a sharpened bamboo stake used as a battlefield trap.
