Claude is doing this in the sidebar because they don't have access to the Word code. But why did Microsoft rush to do this work in the sidebar before integrating it directly? Even when we first added HTML to Word, we did so in the most native way we could.

The world of using AI is quickly splitting into smart and motivated people looking to be smarter and better and then lazy people looking to AI to help them to be even lazier.

This is how it works. Four of Epstein’s five named clients have responded. One has not. And his silence is the loudest thing in this series. His name is Steven Sinofsky. He ran Windows at Microsoft. Worked directly under Bill Gates. At the center of one of the most powerful technology companies in the world. And according to sworn testimony he paid Jeffrey Epstein for financial services. His name confirmed under oath. Part of the same five we have been tracking. Every other name in this series h

Reminder bus utilization has been flat in absolute terms for more than a decade and while it shows gains since pandemic it isn’t at pre levels. While population has grown. This will absolutely be a nightmare at cut the city in two. It will kill plenty of businesses too just as the third ave bus change did.

Every time I read this about meetings I think people have a very "I'm the boss" view of meetings. Meetings are so much less about decisions and so much more about reaching a shared understanding of why, what, how things happen. Meetings create context for work. Summaries and recordings don't do that.My experience has been the worst meetings are the ones where "we must decide X" or "we have 27 follow up work items." Why?Almost nothing can actually get decided in a meeting. There's always more. Mo

This is a blatant attempt to circumvent the deliberate constitutional construct that avoids mob rule and tyranny of majority. It explicitly makes the voting of about 15 states irrelevant and of course it is constructed so they don’t need those states to put this into force. Run this on 2000 and 2016 and you’d be shocked to see what the outcome would be.

This is pretty confusing. While a REAL ID is not strictly required, the exception process ends up requiring the documents you would otherwise need to prove identity for voting. 90% of ADULT Americans have flown on a plane which requires REALID. You also need a REALID to enter any federal facility including a courthouse.

Imagine how much work it took for this realtor to create this 15 minute video on taxes and the business climate in Clark County (WA border with OR)...incredible work and shows the real impact of policy on real people, and the cynicism of state gov. tldr it isn't "millionaires."

Steven Sinofsky on why it's hard for AI to diffuse through firms:"Algorithmic thinking is really, really, really hard for the vast majority of people who have jobs… If you were to go into any person and ask them to create a flow chart for a particular thing that they have to go do, they would probably fail at producing that flow chart.""So within any organization, say doing a marketing plan… one person probably understands and could document the flow chart. So if you put one of these agents or t
