A dead Great White shark washed ashore on Navarre Beach in the Florida Panhandle, according to multiple media outlets and local officials. The shark was measured at about 13 feet and estimated to weigh about 1,500 pounds. What killed the shark is also undetermined. The South Santa Rosa News noted the shark did not have any visible scars or “prop marks.” Once NOAA completes its investigation, the shark will be removed from the beach.
