As part of the relief efforts after the floods in Sikkim, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has deployed its helicopters to evacuate those stranded in remote areas and to drop essential supplies to areas which have been cut off. The IAF has positioned Mi-17 V5, CH-47 Chinooks and Cheetah helicopters for the effort.
